Who we are.. how it all started
During the 2020 COVID lockdown, some exhausted, sleep deprived software engineers got together online to talk about their sorrows. Other than working individually on different side hustles, we came up with an idea to startup an united front.
With a combined experience pool of 60+yrs in the software industry, with specialities including social media, digital marketing, big data, mobile development and software engineering we formed our boutique software development company “theCodeStage”.
Walking in the foot steps of other software giants, we wanted to start our company out of a garage. But sadly none of our team members wanted to clean the garage or set it up to. We are mainly working out of Massey, Auckland. But we have some team members working remotely across New Zealand.
Boutique by definition is a “small scale company that offer highly specialised services or products”.
So we are a specialised team of industry veterans, providing bespoke software solutions for a selected clientele.
Unlike big software firms, here at theCodeStage, we know our clients by name. We work with them just as our team members and understand all their pain points.

For heavy hitters we are specialised in angular, react and other JS web frameworks. We build enterprise applications using Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate and other Java technologies.
When it comes to lightweight work we go with advanced WordPress, Shopify, SquareSpace and other CMS systems.
YES we are specialised in cloud technologies. AWS is our bread and butter, but we get along well with Azure and google cloud.
For digital marketing we use a mixture of secret ingredients including click funnels, fb pixels and targeted marketing tools.
At last we can do graphics, and all sort of fancy stuff, so you don’t need to hire a separate graphic/logo designer.
